I don't normally make changes to a plein air painting after it is done but the way the light came up after I finished this painting made me change my mind. As the golden sunlight came to rest on the land mass in the distance it made it glow and I've driven by this same scene many times since around the same time of day and that convinced me to add the sunlight in the background, I think it works.
